Quick note: All recordings are for Windows Media Player. These are all amateur recordings, kept here mostly just for archival purposes, like an electronic scrapbook. Most are recorded with very basic equipment and lots of background noise. Also, if your computer is slow (like mine) and takes awhile to load things, I suggest you let the recording play through once with the volume off. Then it should run fine.

Ewazen Sonata, Movement 2 (unaccompanied) (Recorded Feb 2006 without piano in my living room for my Grandmother's birthday CD -- need to remember to fake some of the upward lip slurs :) )

Bernstein's Rondo for Lifey (Recorded Feb. 2006 in the living room for an ITG scholarship application)
Arban's Carnival of Venice for Bb Cornet (Recorded July/August 2005, unaccompanied) Prelude Theme Variation 1 Variation 2 Variation 3 Variation 4 (or as a friend once called it, the duet with myself) This piece is an old-fashioned Cornet solo, with lots of difficult technical passages. The mellow sound of the Cornet is suits it very well.
Vivaldi's Concerto in G for two 8-foot garden hose sections (Recorded May 4, 2005, 14.7 MB) This was a particularly awful take. In fact, sometimes we can make garden hoses sound fairly good on this piece. However, this wasn't one of those times...
Haydn Trumpet Concerto, Movement 1 (6:07 minutes, 5.88 MB with piano) This was a preliminary audition recording from December 2004 for the 2005 National Trumpet Competition, Middle School division (I was 13 when we did this recording). We only did one full take, and the playing is fairly conservative. You'll hear a quite a few bobbles and minor errors, and at one point both the pianist and I missed an entrance! I have a big Bach Eb (C bell) that has a very nice sound, but you really have to bend some of the notes to keep them in tune. I had just gotten this horn and wasn't totally used to that, and you'll hear that too...
Corelli Sonata VII (arr. Fitzgerald) Prelude (Recorded in way back in late 2004 when I was just putting this website up -- many mouthpieces ago...) Allemande Sarabande Gigue
Excerpt from Mahler 5 I put this on to show the reason I don't record with my dog in the room. Before you listen, picture this eight pound Chihuahua, with her head thrown back, howling it off to the trumpet. Keep that picture in your head and click the link. My Pup!! Prairiesong Solo This is for all of you MSCA people coming to my site. I love that song and I do miss camp. I hope to see you all there next year!!
